A day in the life of a StoryBook Pom
Living like a spoiled pet whenever possible.
Our dogs are raised and kept full time as pets, living in our home, sleeping on couches and our beds. They have a fenced play yard and seasonal acess to a beach.We do crate train, we are 75% outside potty use but we have potty acess inside, a few of our senoir dogs really need it so they all take advatage of it. We have indoor and outdoor security set up, with alert systems ect. They live a pretty care free life here.
What we do for our crew:
Diet , Supplements, Treats ect
We are a pro Raw Feeding program, however we also have kibble onhand for those days n times when its neccesary. We use tri acta joint supplment and Omega MultiVit, we offer a variety of natural foods as treats, aswelll as junk food from time to time, everything in moderation.
Vetting and Grooming
We believe in titer testing and no over vaccinating, we are firm on Dr Jean Dodds vaccine protocols for our own pack. We use Leeba dental spray regularly, and i keep nail trimmers and brushes by my chair for daily maintenance. As well as I do all my own grooming for the pack bi weekly and month as needed.
Social and Mental Care
Our dogs are up from 7 or 8 am till 10 or 11pm most days, with a 2 to 3 hour nap mid day, where I typically do all the heavy cleaning or important calls ect. We have a big interactive yard, many toy boxes indoors and outdoors, and weather appropriate play items. We are very hands on and smother them with affection on the daily.
